Little Field Lane Update

According to Cllr Sam Phripp (Mendip Hills councillor with responsibility for Holcombe) an ecologist visited the site and found 2 badger setts (one dormant and one in use) which necessitate getting a licence to move the badgers (a legal requirement) before any remedial work can be undertaken.  This is not a quick process so we can expect the road to remain closed for some considerable time.  I appreciate this is very disappointing news especially for those parishioners and businesses directly affected by the closure, however we will continue to remain engaged with Somerset Highways and endeavour to keep you informed of progress.
